Procurement Officer
ONEXP is a premier engineering and technology integrator delivering bespoke audio, video, information, and communication infrastructure for superyachts exceeding 80 meters and ultra-luxury residences worldwide.
We are seeking a Procurement Officer to take full operational ownership of our technical supply chain. Based at our central staging facility in the Van Nelle Fabriek, Rotterdam, you will act as the critical link between engineering design and global project realization.
What is the day-to-day scope of this role?
As a Procurement Officer at ONEXP, you manage the complete lifecycle of technical purchasing. This includes reviewing Bill of Materials (BOM), executing purchase orders for specialized hardware, mitigating international logistics bottlenecks, and tracking inventory arriving at our staging facility for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
What technical systems will I be working with?
You will coordinate sourcing for high-end enterprise IT and premium AV hardware, interface logic, and custom luxury components, working directly with brands such as:
- Network & IT Infrastructure: Cisco, Ubiquiti, Ruckus.
- Control & Automation Systems: Crestron, Lutron.
- Displays & Audio: Premium marine-grade displays, high-end residential audio systems.
What are the core performance expectations?
- First-Time-Right Ordering: Eliminate project delays by auditing technical schematics against vendor quotes to spot discrepancies before orders are placed.
- Vendor Ecosystem Optimization: Leverage and expand a reliable network of European and global distributors to navigate component shortages.
- Cross-Functional Velocity: Maintain daily alignment with Rotterdam-based Project Managers and System Design Engineers to absorb fluid engineering changes without impacting lead times.
Required Qualifications & Selection Criteria
- Domain Expertise: 2 to 5 years of hands-on procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination experience. This experience must be within a project-driven technical environment—ideally in AV/IT integration, marine electronics, maritime supply chains, or high-end construction.
- Technical Schematic Literacy: You do not need to be a design engineer, but you must possess the technical aptitude to read a system schematic, understand signal flow logic, and cross-reference part numbers with technical specifications.
- Geographic & Legal Status: You must be an EEA citizen or hold a valid, unrestricted Dutch work permit, and currently reside within daily commuting distance of Rotterdam.
- Linguistic Capability: Native or full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory to negotiate with international vendors. Professional command of Dutch is highly advantageous.
Organizational Culture & Value Proposition
- Excellence by Design: ONEXP operates in the highest tier of the luxury maritime industry. Our core values—Ownership, No-Nonsense, and Excellence—drive a flat, collaborative corporate structure where execution speaks louder than bureaucracy.
- The Staging Advantage: Unlike purely administrative procurement roles, you will see your work materialize. Our solutions are fully assembled and tested at our Rotterdam HQ before being shipped to global shipyards and residential sites.
- Workspace & Package: We offer a competitive Dutch market salary tailored to your expertise, excellent secondary benefits, and a modern desk inside one of Europe's most celebrated industrial design monuments.
